The 2005 Francis J. Greenburger Awards, which honor underrecognized artists, have been presented to George Condo, Bruce Conner, John Lees, Stephen Mueller and James Romberger. Each artist receives $10,000. The awards were first given in 1986 by Greenburger, a New York real-estate developer who is also founder and chairman of the Art Omi International Arts Center and the Fields Sculpture Park in Columbia County, N.Y.
